Policies

There is no single global policy. Each product documents its own practices because its data, storage and purchase model are different.

Public products

Privacy practices for each public product are documented on the product's own site:

Other apps

Blank Desk has its own privacy policy. That policy applies to Blank Desk only, not to Quoc.app or the other products.

This website

quoc.app primarily serves statically generated pages. Anonymous comments use Netlify Functions with per-comment Netlify Blobs storage as described below. The site also uses a privacy-first page counter. The contact channel has its own documented data practices.

Comments

Public notes under /write/ accept anonymous comments. There is no visitor account, name or email — a random alias is generated in your browser and kept in your browser's local storage. The alias is a display label only: it cannot be used to recover, edit or delete a comment, and you can clear it at any time.

Comments are reviewed by the site owner before they become public. Until then they are visible to the owner only. What is stored per comment: the alias label, the comment text, which article it belongs to, and the submission time. A random submission id (no personal data) is kept to make retries idempotent.

Only approved comments are shown publicly. The owner may keep approved and hidden comments until they are hard-deleted; comments rejected during review are deleted. Commenters cannot edit or delete their comments after sending — to request removal of a comment, use the contact channel and reference the article and comment text.

For rate limiting, Netlify processes client IP addresses at the infrastructure level. This website's own code does not persist raw IPs, cookies or fingerprints for comments.
